I am much, much better!
My level of pain last week was mostly a "0" as I had 6 straight days with no pain at all!
As for the sloughing...I never really saw it. I did have cloudy urine during and after the treatment, but it was not consistent. It is clear most of the time now.
My immune system has been through a great deal and is sort of "shot" right now. It is slowly improving. My fatigue still haunts me, but that too is slowly improving.
I am sleeping well through the night and no longer am awakened 4 or 5 times thinking I have to go to the bathroom. I am religious about taking a nap every day. I know that the rest has helped me a great deal.

The last week has been a real turn around. The bad pain seems to have stoped and the burning so i think that was the sloughing, i must have just had it really badly. My ureaplasma results are negative, thats the second one now. I am feeling a lot better.
Feel a bit funny on and off, think i might be sloughing a bit some days but over all a lot better. I have not been laid up in bed in terrible pain for over a week. Scientific Research Supports Angela’s Findings:
Most victims ‘know’ and ‘feel’ that IC is some sort of infection process despite negative sample results and much medical disbelief. But I am agreeing with these women and I am certain that IC is caused by Mycoureaplasma infections of the bladder and / or the vagina.

“Of 16 species of Mycoplasmas that have been isolated from human beings, six seem to have the genital tract as their major site of colonisation. Of these, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, M.genitalium and M.penetrans are of particular interest as is M.fermentans also found in genitalia.
M.hominis, was the first Mycoplasma of human origin to be reported and is recovered frequently from the lower genital tract of uncircumcised men. At least two thirds of women with Bacterial Vaginosis are also found to have M.hominis in their vagina.
In women, M. genitalium has been found in the lower genital tract of 72% of women attending STD clinics”.

“Ureaplasma and Mycoplasma as a group of organisms are the least investigated and are probably the greatest cause of more chronic urinary and gynaecological problems than any other class of bacteria. They should be considered as a cause of I.C. in women and Non-Specific Urethritis in men.
They may also be a causative organism in Bacterial Vaginosis and vaginitis thought to be caused by Candida.
There are presently no routine culture facilities for identifying such bacteria in the British National Health Service. A High Vaginal Swab may yield ureaplasma even if the urine sample is shown negative. Culture facilities for M.genitalis, M. hominis and M.urealyticum should be introduced as a matter of urgency.”
